BBQ Rub

Ingredients

  • 4 Paprika
  • 2 Dried Apple Powder
  • 2 Black Peppercorn
  • 1 Celery Salt
  • 1 Brown Sugar
  • 1 Garlic Powder
  • 1 Onion Powder
  • Mustard Powder
  • 1 Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 Cayenne Pepper
  • Apple powder is what separates this rub from others. It adds a sweet and fruity dimension thats a natural marriage for smoked pork and other bbqed meats. I make my own apple powder by slicing fresh apples as thin as possible and then placing them in my food dehydrator for 4-6 hours. I then grind the dried apple slices to a powder in a blender. If you do not have a food dehydrator, place the apples in an oven at a very low temperature and keep opened for ventilation.
  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until all peppercorns are ground and spices are mixed together.
